Innosilicon is a professional ASIC miner developer and manufacturer whose products have covered multiple fields. The 28nm bitcoin and litecoin miners have been widely used all over China with big shares in mainstream market.
As the latest generation of miner produced by Innosilicon released in early January 2018, A6 LTCMaster miner is suitable for all cryptocurrency mining based on Scrypt algorithm. The officially released parameters are shown as follows: 1.23GH/s (+/- 8%), 1500W (+/- 8% @25°C)
Now, we will bring you the latest evaluation on Innosilicon A6 LTCMaster as follows.
Unpacking Photos
Innosilicon A6 is packed in five-layer industrial carton with complete logistics warehousing label and the miner is wrapped with moisture-proof bag and EPE foams to effectively ensure safe transportation.
The miner adopts the twins design with double fans in the front and rear with compact and sturdy alloy casing.
Each twin of the miner consists of four hashboards sharing on controller. The miner controller can be seen from above and each hashboard has two PCI-E 6pin power interfaces and data cables.
One side of the miner:
In the front, we can see the controller is located on the top and network interface is in the middle of the controller, with two cooling fans on the front side (air inlet at this side)
On the other side of the miner is stuck with label, showing basic parameters and warning message.
On the controller at the top, from left to right are data cable, 4pin fan power cord and power supply interface of the controller.
On the back of the miner, the power interface of hashboard is on the top and two cooling fans are on the bottom for air outlet.
Specification of cooling fan: 12CM-12V3.4A
The data cable interface adopts buckle design to ensure tight contact for the sake of stable data transmission.
Physical parameters of the miner is shown as below:
Installation and Test
The setting-up is relatively simple, just plug in power cord and network cable. Please refer to official manual for specific setting-up procedures: http://www.innosilicon.com.cn/api/download.php?url=A6-master-of-the-world-use-instructions-en.pdf
The lights indicating normal running status are shown as follows:
Performance Test
The test uses 1800W dedicated power supply with 18 PCI-E 6pin power cords. The indoor noise in this test is about 40dBa, the indoor temperature is about 15℃ in the day and about 8℃ at night.
With long-term running, the average hashrate is about 1.2G-1.25G, whose curve is stable without obvious fluctuations.
The tested power is 1535w.
Overclocking test: only two built-in frequencies, namely the default frequency and overclocking frequency. Here we select overclock. The voltage is adjusted on the premise of stable operation based on power supply and miner qualities. Of course, auto adjustment can also be set.
The tested hashrate is 1.29G in overclocking mode. Power consumption is about 1738w.
In terms of noise, during normal running when fan speed in daytime is about 70%, the measured noise about 20cm away from the miner is about 84.7dBa.
The measured noise about 1 meter away from the miner is about 75.5dBa.
In terms of temperature, when the miner is under normal and stable running, the average temperature of hashboard on mining status page is about 39℃ and the tested temperature at the air inlet is about 19.9℃.
The tested temperature at the air outlet is 23℃.
Summary
- A6 LTCMaster Litecoin miner is capable of stable operation with the average tested hashrate between 1.2G and 1.25G and power consumption of about 1535W, which are roughly equivalent to the official parameters.
- A6 LTCMaster Litecoin miner is applicable to all cryptocurrencies with Scrypt algorithm.
- A little noisy, but it’s common for high-hashrate miners nowadays.
- Thanks to the high-speed cooling fans, it has good heat dissipation with small temperature difference on the front and rear.
- With certain space for overclocking.
- Compact and sturdy design enables it with easy operation and stable running, it’s suitable for many mining scenes.
